Red betel (Piper crocatum) is a plant that often used as medicine. belongs to the Piperaceae family, grows vines with heart-shaped leaves and stems, which grow alternately from stem appearance of are silvery red shiny when exposed sunlight. contains flavonoid compounds, alkaloids, tannins, phenolic compounds essential oils. The results showed ethanol extract leaf active such flavonoids phenolics. purpose this study was determine toxic effect on Artemia salina. method Brine Shrimp Lethality Test method. obtained were analyzed using probit table find value LC50 (Lethal concentration). based toxicity test at 10 ppm. This indicates very shrimp (Artemia salina) larva.
